Tried this Hokkien restaurant at Jewel Changi and the experience was unfortunately underwhelming. Ordering is done by scanning a QR code and placing your order online. The setup was similar to another restaurant I visited in Jewel — utensils were already placed on the table, but there were no napkins anywhere. When I asked a staff member for one, they pulled out a stack, set it on the counter by the cashier, and signaled for me to grab it myself. This felt a bit odd considering they charge a 10% service fee. I ordered the hokkien mee. It was just average overall. The noodles had a nice springy texture, which I liked, but the dish lacked flavor and was missing the smoky wok hei aroma that good hokkien mee is known for. The shrimp roll (ngo hiong) was the highlight. It was well-seasoned, crispy, and tasted great dipped in the accompanying sauce. Once you finish eating, you simply go to the counter to pay. Service was extremely minimal, and there wasn’t even a thank-you at the end. After reading other reviews mentioning similar staff attitudes, it seems this isn’t an isolated experience. Overall, the food was average and the service left a lot to be desired. With so many dining options in Jewel, I wouldn’t return.

Review of Tun Xiang Hokkien Delights @ Changi Airport Jewel We first patronized Tun Xiang when they opened at Jewel, and it’s heartening to see that their reputation for hearty, home-style dishes still holds strong. Revisiting them at Changi Airport Jewel during the SG60 National Day celebration felt extra special. Their SG60 promotion—a 50% discount on Fried Hokkien Mee—was more than just a good deal. It turned our meal into a nostalgic celebration of Singapore’s food heritage. The Hokkien Mee itself was flavorful, well-balanced, and thoroughly satisfying, reminding us why this dish continues to be such a local favorite. Beyond the promotion, Tun Xiang continues to shine with a variety of signature dishes. I highly recommend trying: • Sweet and Sour Pork was beautifully executed — each piece was crispy on the outside while remaining tender inside, and impressively, the crispiness held up right until the end of the meal. The chef clearly understands how to balance the sauce, coating the pork just enough to enhance its flavor without compromising the crunchy texture. • Crispy Nanru Iberico Pork – tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. • Baby Kailan with Iberico Pork – a comforting mix of greens and premium meat. • Crispy Nanru Chicken – golden, crispy skin with succulent meat inside. • Fish Maw & Pig Stomach Collagen Soup – nourishing and rich, perfect for sharing. • Hokkien Crispy Prawn Rolls – crunchy on the outside, flavorful within. Overall, Tun Xiang at Changi Airport Jewel offers not just good food, but also a dining experience that connects us to tradition and heritage. Whether you’re traveling or simply looking for a comforting meal, it’s definitely worth a stop.

Had some nice Hokkien mee here before our flight. All the elements were solid, tied together by the sauce and reasonably portioned. Not mind-blowing but a fine and substantial meal.

Tried the signature yellow rice wine pork with rice. The lean pork pieces with black fungus, goji berries, ginger strips soaked in rice wine sauce that had very strong wine taste that was bitter & sweet. The dish came served with nice strong wine aroma. However, only those who enjoy strong wine taste would enjoy this dish.
