Authentic Japanese tonkatsu specialist at Jewel serving premium Kurobuta pork cutlets with hand-pounded breadcrumbs.
Tonkatsu by Ma Maison at Jewel Changi Airport is a destination for lovers of authentic Japanese deep-fried pork cutlets done right. The restaurant uses premium Kurobuta pork — often called the Wagyu of pork — coated in light, ultra-crispy breadcrumbs made from freshly hand-pounded bread, then fried to golden perfection. Each set comes accompanied by finely shredded cabbage, flavourful tonjiru pork miso soup, and steamed rice, delivering the full, satisfying tonkatsu experience that Japanese cuisine enthusiasts adore. The menu offers a variety of cutlet options, from the classic rosu-katsu (loin) to the leaner hire-katsu (fillet), alongside prawn and oyster variations for those who prefer seafood. Diners can choose between different set configurations and sides, and the attentive staff ensure each cutlet arrives hot and sizzling from the kitchen. The warm, Japanese-style interior provides a cosy setting that contrasts pleasantly with the grand openness of Jewel.
Tonkatsu by Ma Maison is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the simple perfection of a properly fried pork cutlet. It is honest, satisfying Japanese comfort food at its most comforting.

I had a wonderful experience here. The food was good, and the service was great too. The staff even offered to refill the vegetables twice. Since I came in the afternoon, it wasn’t crowded at all and was quite peaceful. The rice was cooked better than at other outlets. I really enjoyed the meal.
