Authentic Ipoh kopitiam at Jewel Changi, famous for white coffee, Choy Kee egg tarts and heritage Malaysian fare.
Ipoh Town Kopitiam at Jewel Changi Airport is a traditional coffee shop founded by two Ipoh-born sisters who were determined to bring the authentic taste of their Malaysian hometown to Singapore. The 70-seater café serves a menu rooted in Ipoh's culinary heritage, from the signature Authentic Ipoh White Coffee, brewed from a traditional recipe chosen out of 40 tested, to the famed Choy Kee Egg Tarts, marking the first time the renowned Ipoh bakery's creations have been available outside of Malaysia. The menu also features must-try dishes such as Premium Ipoh Chicken Soup Hor Fun with silky rice noodles in a rich umami broth, Nasi Ayam Goreng Berempah pairing coconut rice with a spice-marinated fried chicken thigh, and the Ipoh Dry Curry Noodle. Dim sum options include both traditional bakes and modern creations like rendang pies and Portuguese egg tarts. The café's interior painstakingly recreates the atmosphere of an Ipoh kopitiam, transporting diners across the Causeway with every bite.
For a taste of Ipoh that usually requires a drive up the North-South Highway, Ipoh Town Kopitiam brings it all to Jewel. Sip the white coffee, bite into an egg tart, and let the flavours tell the story.
